Conditions remained similar to the noon sounding for the rest of the day on March 9th.
As you can see in the sounding, a deep adiabatic layer grew to about 600 mb (though the upper regions may be partly residual from the day before.) 180° wind shear persisted in the lower layers, as westerly flow persisted above a SE near-surface flow.
For the 8 PM sounding, a cool nocturnal inversion was just beginning to form. The large residual layer from earlier in the day is readily apparent. Despite appearances from ~550 mb, there was not a cloud in the sky as the radiosonde measured.
