2015 03 10 (March 10) Morning Radisonde Launch Report

The radiosonde launch was supposed to go off at 0745 MDT (1345 UTC) to coordinate with the RASS test, but did not go off until 0845 MDT (1445 UTC) due to equipment malfunction and novice user error. However, the launch went off successfully and here is the Skew-T ln-p figure:

Also, included here from the data using the Aspen software () is the height vs. wind speed/wind direction figure of sounding atmosphere:

The conditions were as follows: Perfectly clear sky, calm surface winds. Muddy field. Morning inversion with transition zone in atmospheric boundary layer. Nearly constant lapse rate above transition layer with height to around 600hPa. Winds increasing in magnitude with height. Significant inversion for ~500-700 m at this time seen in wind, temperature, and RH.

Will launch next radiosonde at 1145 MDT local (1745 UTC) from BAO visitor's center and post ~1 hour after launch. (Quelet)
