2015 03 10 (March 10) Noon Radisonde Launch Report

The radiosonde launch was supposed to go off at 1145 MDT (1745 UTC) to coordinate with the RASS test, and went off shortly after at 1152 MDT (1752 UTC) due to new procedures. The launch went off successfully and here is the Skew-T ln-p figure:



In addition, here is the wind speed and direction vs. height figure over the atmosphere:


The remarks are as follows. Midday, clear sunny skies. Slight breeze and wind gusts at surface. Superadibatic surface layer, and deep atmospheric boundary layer. Ascent rate ~2.5 m/s or so. Variable wind direction in boundary layer, more clustered above. Nearly constant lapse rate in lower troposphere as seen earlier in day. (Quelet)
