2015 03 12 2200Z Radiosonde Launch Report

The sky was overcast and filled with mid to high level clouds. The wind was mild (around 5 mph) at the surface. The radiosonde was launched at 22.00Z. The accent rate was around 5 m/s. The boundary layer extended to around 690 mb, then the atmosphere turned from neutral to stable. The atmosphere was very stable (2 layers of temperature inversion indeed) from 500 to 350 mb. Winds below 650 mb were light (around or below 5 m/s) and the directions varied quite a bit. The winds above 500 mb showed upper air stronger SW flow. Note that in raw data the sonde started to fall (possibly due to balloon popped) at around 120 mb before I terminated the observation.
